Abuja Continental Hotel Set To Host Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Others As Third AFAA Award Holds

Plans have been concluded for the hosting of the third edition of the African Fashion & Arts Award (AFAA) in Abuja, Nigerian capital, where several African countries are expected to participate 

They include top fashion entrepreneurs from Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Rwanda, Lesotho, and Tanzania, among others. 

Founder and president of AFAA, Mr. Kingsley Amako briefing newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday notes that the event is aimed at rewarding and celebrating the African creativity in the fashion and arts industry. 
He said the 3-day event will witness a series of activities that will, on the first day, witness a Masterclass and Mentorship Symposium, Arts Exhibition, and Shopping festival.

According to Amako, there will also be a fashion runway which will feature top fashion designers from various countries. 

They include Smart 4REAL Brand, a fashion designer from South Sudan, Kacillah Fashion, a vendor from Rwanda, and Sun XA Experiment, a performing brand from Soweto in South Africa. 
Others are Kente Christabel, a fashion designer from Uganda, Tifina Ogweno AFAA Kenya, Country Director, and more. 

The AFAA Award ceremony where government, ethnic leaders, and eminent stakeholders in the industry will be rewarded is set to take centre stage on Dec 2nd at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel.  

The Group General Manager, Continental Hotels Mr. Karl Hala, in his remarks, said that as a hospitality industry, the hotel will be at the forefront in promoting creativity in Africa. 
According to him, the fashion industry plays a key role in transforming institutions and nations by providing means of livelihood to young people. 

Top entertainers are set to thrill the expected from across African nations.
