Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Tinubu has forgiven Dogara – APC Chieftain

Published on

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi State and a die-in- the-wool supporter of President Bola Tinubu, Godfrey Manasseh, says the President has forgiven the former Speaker of House of Respresentatives, Yakubu Dogara for refusing to support his presidential ambition.

Dogara aligned with some Christian groups across the country, particularly from the northern region to work against Tinubu becoming President in 2023 because of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC.

APC remained resolute on the Muslim-Muslim ticket, a decision that forced Dogara, a close ally of Tinubu, to work against Tinubu.

The former Speaker who became a strong voice against the Muslim-Muslim ticket, shunned Tinubu but instead openly supported former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for President.

Atiku eventually lost the election and also lost at the Supreme Court after approaching the courts, with his dream to rule Nigeria in tatters.

Dogara and his associates and Christians who kicked against the APC Muslim- Muslim ticket lost out in the game of power.

Speaking with journalists in Bauchi on the development, Manasseh explained that Tinubu is a kind of person who forgives in advance.

The medical practitioner, who was a member of Tinubu’s Independent Campaign Council and a former Chairman of Christian Coalition for Tinubu, stated that the President has already forgiven Dogara for not giving him his expected support.

“Everyone knows who Mr President is,” he stated.

“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu forgives you before you offend him.

“Dogara and company who fought vehemently against the Muslim-Muslim ticket are forgiven by Mr President.

“When you forgive a child, he has to find his way back to his father.

“I am a Christian and I know the story of the prodigal son.

“When the prodigal son was forgiven, he ran back to his father.

“President Tinubu has forgiven Dogara.

“It is now left for Dogara and his likes to run back to Mr President so that Mr President will take them back. ”

He opined that Christians are becoming quite aware that the Muslim-Muslim tickets was not meant for religious purpose.

“The Muslim-Muslim ticket has fared quite well and in 2027 Christians are voting Tinubu back.

“We will beg some of them not to vote because they will be many Christians that will vote Tinubu again. ”

He described the president as a great leader who was working tirelessly to reposition Nigeria towards greatness.

“We said it during campaign that Tinubu was reliable; he is committed, dedicated and can be trusted, so far Nigerians are testifying to that,” he said.
