Donald Trump sworn in as 47th US President
Donald Trump has officially returned to the White House, taking the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States.
The swearing-in ceremony took place shortly after noon ET in an intimate setting within the Rotunda of the Capitol. The event marks Trump’s return to the presidency after his first term, highlighting a significant moment in American political history.
With his hand on the Bible, Trump recited the oath of office, signaling the beginning of his second tenure. The ceremony was attended by a select group of dignitaries, family members, and close allies.
“The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump said at the beginning of his second inaugural address.
“From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world. We will be the envy of every nation, and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer during every single day of the Trump administration.”
