Headless body of Almajiri found with missing genitals as woman killed weeks after wedding

Police in Jigawa State have launched investigations into the discovery of a headless body of a teenage boy, whose private parts were removed, in Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram Local Government Area.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Lawan Shiisu, revealed this in a statement issued in Dutse.
According to Shiisu, the body was found around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
“On Wednesday at about 2200hrs, the Divisional Police Headquarters Gwaram informed us about a corpse in Jikas-Dabaja village, Gwaram LGA.
“A team of policemen rushed to the scene and on arrival, they discovered a headless corpse. The corpse also had his private parts removed.
“The corpse was later identified as that of a 14-year-old Almajiri, who went missing two days earlier,” Shiisu said.
He further stated that the victim’s family was notified, and after medical confirmation of death, the body was handed over to them for burial.
”Investigations are ongoing with a view to apprehending the perpetrators,” he said.
In a separate incident, the police are also investigating the killing of a 22-year-old bride in Hadejia Local Government Area, just five weeks after her wedding.
The victim, identified as Zainab Ibrahim, died from a fatal throat injury.
Shiisu stated that she was taken to the General Hospital in Hadejia, where a doctor confirmed her death.
The police spokesperson assured that investigations are in progress and efforts are underway to arrest those responsible for the crime.
