15 die in Kano road accident

A devastating road crash near Chiromawa Village in the Garun Mallam Local Government Area of Kano State resulted in 15 fatalities and left 10 others injured on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

According to intelligence sources cited by Zagazola Makama- a security analyst, the accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. and involved a white Toyota Liteace bus, bearing registration number NSR 188 KP, and a stationary blue Daf trailer, with plate number KMC 158 XW, parked at the roadside.

The sources revealed that the bus, which was transporting 25 passengers, collided with the parked trailer after the driver—whose identity remains unknown—lost control of the vehicle. All occupants of the bus reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Emergency personnel transported the victims to Kura General Hospital. There, medical officials confirmed the deaths of the bus driver and 14 passengers. The remaining 10 individuals are currently receiving treatment.
